STATIONARY FUEL CELLS
The above large stationary fuel cells are referred to as direct fuel cells (DFC).

Direct Fuel Cells
Fuel cells are electrochemical power generators. As long as fuel, such as natural gas and air are supplied, a fuel cell will continue to produce electricity and heat without combustion and the pollutants associated with burning fuel. Direct Fuel Cells are unlike other fuel cell technologies;Direct Fuel Cells can use hydrocarbon fuels without the need to first create hydrogen in an external fuel processor. |
In order to get a useable amount of electric power, multiple fuel cells are “stacked” on top of each other, and are capable of producing hundreds of thousands of watts—enough power for use in a variety of settings.
Why Direct Fuel Cells?
• Direct Fuel Cell power plants are the most efficient fossil fuel generators in this size range. This means more electricity using less fuel.
• DFC
• DFC’s are quiet, making them friendly neighbors.
• DFC’s power plants produce high quality electricity for today's high-tech systems.
• DFC’s can operate on a variety of fuels, for use in a wide range of applications and settings.
