Moonshot 2010 - The Australian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Science/Technologies education program now has three(3) new editions. Firstly a university student from Curtain University of Technology Western Australia has built Australia's first 12watt PEM fuel cell powered car, generating hydrogen from sodium borohydride and catalyst to fuel the car. Secondly FCIA has built the world's first radio controlled 12watt PEM fuel cell powered car <US$600, and finally the smallest hydrogen fuel cell powered car in world along with its solar hydrogen refueling station is being used for educational purposes in high schools SW of Sydney[25/07/06].The H-racer and solar hydrogen refueling station has just been released from a company in Shanghai China, and it is an amazing piece of technology in an educational toy format, which is currently being tested by the FCIA.FCIA has already supplied units to Planet Ark Environmental Foundation and high schools in Queensland. FCIA demonstrated such before the faculties of Industrial Arts and Science of Fairvale High School on the 25.7.06 at ~9am,and will demonstrate such to all the other [19] high schools in the NSW cluster group over the next few months.The NSW hydrogen and fuel cell science/technologies education program is now spreading through the premier state.

ENV

The ENV (Envy) fuel cell powered motor bike is planned to be commercially released by Intelligent Energy of the UK, mid 2007.The ENV began its life as a fuel cell technology demonstrator and was launched to the world in March 2005. The subsequent global reaction to seeing a purpose-designed fuel cell application has been overwhelming.Fifteen months on from the launch of the two prototypes the estimated audience reach from media coverage is well over a quarter of a billion people - and still growing daily.We now have an ENV community of would-be purchasers ranging from serious scientists to yet-to-be-old-enough-to ride teenagers and representing every possible kind of interest.Most want to know when and where they can buy an ENV. Where the hydrogen comes from. How fast it goes. Is it street legal? etc.
